To commemorate the first anniversary of the visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to the United Kingdom and the Beatification of Blessed John Henry Newman, the Bishops of England and Wales celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at Westminster Cathedral on Sunday 18 September at 3pm.
Although not a public event, many individuals key to the success of the Visit were present.
The gathering of bishops and representatives of the seminary communities at the Cathedral was reminiscent of their historic meeting with the Holy Father at St Mary’s College, Oscott, last year.
